Rare young kiwi hatched in the Frankfurt Zoo

What is fluffy, has a long beak and just looks cute? A kiwi cub! The little ones in the video hatched at the Frankfurt Zoo last year and have been delighting keepers and visitors ever since!

The special thing about it: Only about 50 kiwis live outside of their home New Zealand - two more were added to this number, which makes "Kiwi-Papa" Wilfried Altmann proud. Rearing the flightless birds is particularly demanding, but at the Frankfurt Zoo you know how to do it. In addition to "delicious" worms and sufficient warmth, the boys also need a large portion of love. But when you see the two siblings that way, you can't help but love them.
