The camping holiday is practical for the dog as well as for owners or mistresses and is also a lot of fun. Because whether you are traveling to the beach with a tent or camping in the mountains - you spend a lot of time outdoors and can explore the new surroundings with your four-legged friend or have a sporty workout.
Camping holidays with your dog: tent or caravan?
If you are planning a camping holiday and want to let your dog sleep in the tent, if in doubt, get your four-legged friend used to the unfamiliar surroundings in good time - for example, by setting up the tent in the garden to test it. You should also let the dog explore the caravan in peace before going on a long trip - especially if you have only rented the vehicle and the dog does not yet know it. With a cozy blanket that has a familiar smell, or your favorite toy and a few treats, you can bring familiar elements into the camper.

With the dog at the campsite
It is important to find out in advance whether dogs are allowed on the pitch and, if so, which rules apply. For example, some campsites do not allow dogs in a tent and require the four-legged friend to spend the night in the caravan or mobile home. Other campsites only allow dogs to be taken in the low season.
It is also important, of course, that you both adhere to the rules posted on site. For example, the dog should not do its business on the pitch and if possible should not strike every time a stranger approaches the tent or caravan. It should also be a matter of course that your dog masters the basic commands such as "sit" or "place".
