Here’s the poop: Nominate an animal shelter to win a case of fleece blankets, and you’re entered to win Earth Rated’s hilarious card game.
Okay, so what happens when you combine playing cards, dog poop trivia and fleece blankets? Toasty warm shelter pooches, that’s what!
Right about now you’re probably looking confused so let me explain the connection.
Montreal-based Earth Rated is a manufacturer of fun and affordable waste bags for dogs. Their focus is on providing an environmentally sound alternative to the usual plastic grocery store bag that, let’s be honest, we sometimes turn to.
That covers off the dog-poop side of the equation, but what about the playing cards and blankets? The dirty (and hilarious) minds at Earth Rated are running an online contest where you can nominate your favorite animal shelter to win one of 50 cases of new Earth Rated fleece blankets for the resident canines. Just like they do for us, the blankets provide a sense of warmth and comfort to the shelter animals, helping them feel safe and secure.
In the process of trying to win your favorite shelter these blankets, you can earn yourself one of 1,000 packs of “Cards Against Caninity” which, while not affiliated with the rude, crude and highly popular “Cards Against Humanity” game, does share the concept of matching outrageous follow up lines to innocuous comments. An example comment: “… is why we can’t have nice things”, follow up “Crawling with your butt against the carpet.” Each pack contains 17 initial comment cards, 80 hilarious follow up lines that have been totally fan-devised, and 3 blank cards where you can fill in your own response. And if you have the original game, the dog-themed cards can be mixed in with them!
The contest runs January 20 through February 10, 2016 and animal lovers can nominate their favorite shelter in North America by simply visiting the Cards Against Caninity website, entering their contact details and telling Earth Rated why the shelter deserves to win the blankets. This contest is open to residents of Canada and the U.S.
We’ve already fill out our entry and our paws are crossed that we’ll be putting together inappropriate responses with gut-busting cards soon!
