Vegas oddsmakers have been working overtime with NFL playoff games, but they need to just check out the YouTube videos made by a dog who knows how to pick a winner!
Several months ago, YouTube user Jeffrey Smee watched an old video of an octopus accurately predicting soccer match outcomes and thought that since people like dogs and people like football, he’d combine the two with his own videos and see what happened.
He set up different wildcard ‘bowl’ options for his dog Yowie, and let Yowie go to town eating the bowl of his choice. Each time (and folks, that’s 10 matchups!), Yowie’s selection was spot on, right up to these last playoff games that are sending the New England Patriots and the Atlanta Falcons to the Super Bowl on February 5.
Smee says that he will not give any spoiler alerts for Yowie’s ultimate Bowl selection, as he says he doesn’t think even she knows which bowl she’ll choose to chow from until it’s right in front of her, but you can find out who she predicts when he releases the Super Bowl choice on January 31 on his YouTube page.
Until then, for a dose of adorable, check out Yowie’s uncanny accuracy up to this point!
